Create.
That word really struck a chord with me growing up - create. Make something. A poem. A sculpture. A drawing. An experience. It never really mattered what it was, I just wanted to bring something into being that hadn’t existed before. I had my hands in almost every type of creative pursuit… except photography.
It wasn’t until a beautiful summer spent with my grandfather that photography became a greater focus for me. I remember getting home, realizing that I had a single roll of film to show for three of the best months of my life and the man who made those months possible.
So, here I am. I want to create something… I want to leave an elaborate breadcrumb trail of mementos for myself, for you, or for no other reason than to simply bring something into being that hadn’t existed before.
